ME (Erin)

After over a decade working in corporate America, I decided there had to be a more fun way to spend the day than behind a desk and away from Murphy!  With a love of all things dogs and a knack for finding that perfect gift and card for every occasion, I began compiling a list of my “Best in Breed” gifts for people and pets.  From birthday presents for my fabulous girlfriends to retirement gifts for former colleagues, from  housewarming presents for my favorite bachelors to baby gifts for the moms in my life, and of course, the best gets I’ve found for Murphy, I bring to you the most fun, unique, and affordable gifts for all the special people  and pets in your life. We hope you love them as much as we do! 

MURPHY 

I had a rough start in life. A not very nice man took me away from my Mom when I was just a week old.  But luckily, a wonderful lady from the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA took me and my 11 brothers and sisters in to her house and got us strong enough so she could find us new homes.  I ended up in Arlington, VA where, I must admit, I have a pretty fabulous life. 

I don’t know whether it is my distinguished lineage (Mom says I’m probably a mix of a half a dozen breeds – most likely Border Collie, Spaniel, Corgi, and others - clearly the best of the best), or my ability to focus obsessively on a ball for hours on end, or my love of mud puddles and stinky objects, but whatever it is, my Mom is totally in love with me.  As such, she is extremely grateful that Suzanne at the SPCA in Albemarle County saved my life.  She says she has tried to pay it forward by taking in other puppies that have had a rough start in life.

So we (but let’s be honest, I do most of the work!) have taken in a lot of foster puppies over the years and helped other friends rescue great dogs. If you’re one of those dogs who used to hang out at my house, we’d love to hear from you. Drop us a note or come by the store– we miss you! Also, if you could ask any of the humans in your life that may be looking for a pet to visit the sites below to find a new best friend, I promise they will NOT be disappointed. While no pet could possibly be as perfectly charming as I am, I know you will find a wonderful, loyal, and loving pet from these great groups.
